One family. Three trades. Since 2011.
Issam “Sammy” Bahhur built Memphis Air Care from a single truck in Southaven into a dual-licensed shop that self-performs mechanical, refrigeration, gas, and electrical work across the Memphis metro and DeSoto County.
Started with one truck and a phone that still rings to the owner
Sammy started Memphis Air Care in 2011, working out of one truck in Southaven and taking whatever refrigeration and mechanical calls came in along Goodman Road. The reputation grew the way good trade reputations do — one restaurant, one walk-in, one honest quote at a time.
Over fourteen years that one truck became a dual-licensed shop. Sammy earned Mississippi licenses for both mechanical / refrigeration and electrical work — a combination that’s rare in the Mid-South — so the same crew that sets a rooftop unit can run its power and pipe its gas without waiting on a subcontractor to show up.
What hasn’t changed is who answers the phone. Sammy still picks up when a call escalates and still drives a van most weeks. Cecilia Martinez runs dispatch and keeps the schedule moving, and the technicians on the trucks came up under Sammy — trained the way he works: diagnose it honestly, price it in writing, and finish the job clean.
Those commercial roots are exactly why homeowners trust the same crew today. The standards that keep a grocery store’s refrigeration running don’t get relaxed when we pull into a driveway.
Two licenses, one crew
Most HVAC companies hold a mechanical license and subcontract the electrical — or vice versa. Sammy holds both, in-house. That changes everything about how your job goes: one company sets the equipment, runs the power, pipes the gas, and stands behind all of it.
Mechanical & Refrigeration
MS Mechanical/Refrigeration #24339-SC
HVAC, boilers, hydronics, walk-in coolers, ice machines, and kitchen ventilation — repaired, replaced, and maintained.
Electrical
MS Electrical #26772-MC
Panel upgrades, three-phase power, equipment circuits, LED retrofits, and generators — permitted and inspected, no subs.
The same three rules, every job
Honest quotes, in writing
You get a flat-rate price before any work begins. Repair-first math, and a replacement only when it genuinely saves you money — never a system you don’t need.
In-house everything
Mechanical, refrigeration, gas, and electrical are all self-performed. No subcontractors means no scheduling games and one company accountable from diagnosis to commissioning.
We show up fast
A walk-in down on a Friday night is a payroll-and-inventory emergency. We answer the phone, dispatch same-day across the metro, and offer emergency & after-hours response.
Who you’ll actually talk to
No call center, no phone tree. When you reach Memphis Air Care, you reach the people who run it.
