Refrigeration, hoods, gas, and HVAC for restaurant kitchens

A commercial kitchen runs on systems that have to work together: cold boxes, the hood and its make-up air, gas to every appliance, and comfort in the dining room. We service and install all of them, so one company answers for the whole kitchen.

Updated

The short answer

Memphis Air Care repairs and installs the systems a commercial kitchen runs on: walk-in coolers and freezers, reach-ins and ice machines, Type I and Type II hoods with make-up air, gas lines to the cook line, and rooftop HVAC. We serve restaurants, ghost kitchens, and school cafeterias across Memphis and DeSoto County, with one licensed crew for refrigeration, ventilation, gas, and the circuits that power them.

Questions

Can one company handle our refrigeration, hoods, and gas?

Yes. Refrigeration, walk-ins, hoods, make-up air, and gas lines are all in-house, and we hold Mississippi mechanical (#24339-SC) and electrical (#26772-MC) licenses, so the equipment circuits are ours too.

Why does our kitchen fill with smoke even with the hood on?

Usually the hood exhausts more air than the building can replace, so smoke spills out instead of going up. We size make-up air to the actual exhaust CFM, and re-balance or add make-up air to fix it.

What happens when a walk-in goes down?

We treat a down box as an emergency and carry common compressors, motors, valves, and gaskets on the truck. Emergency and after-hours service is available at 901-365-2848.

Can you handle a full restaurant build-out?

Yes. We coordinate HVAC, make-up air, exhaust hoods, refrigeration, walk-ins, and gas piping as one system, so the kitchen goes to health and fire inspection together.
